Assist men, women and their home communities in building relationships and life strategies as they reintegrate back home after terms of incarceration.
They Serve:
Men and women, at least 18 years old
Pre and post release status in prison or jail
Convicted of a crime as an adult
Pregnant or partner pregnant or parenting children under the age of 6 (custodial or non-custodial)
Returning to or currently living in the South Central Phoenix, Maryvale and Laveen neighborhoods and Gila River Reservation within Maricopa County
Services are free to currently incarcerated or recently released male and female parents.
Services Provided:
Pre-release transition planning
Match individual needs with internal and external educational opportunities
Personal and familial asset identification
Pre and post release classes and seminars on topics like: building cognitive skills, decision making, parenting techniques and interpersonal communication skills, financial management and sustainability and court and custody
Post release individual support through an assigned mentor
Employment and education readiness assessments and workshops
Referrals to community based, home visitation case management programs to meet specific needs
Links into community based services for physical and mental health and substance abuse counseling services
